As you know each year we here at Christian Life Ministries host the national Celebration in Uganda. It is a time for God’s people to gather as a nation of prayer and celebration. People begin to fill the President’s airstrip at 9a for a day long of prayer and praise. There is singing, dancing and praying while the nation is lifted up. It was an amazing sight to see all the people giving thanks and petitioning God for the new year’s needs.

As the day continued on the crowd increased and before long the whole mile of the president’s airstrip was filled with people. All praising God. Hallelujah! Many pastors, government dignitaries and nationally know artist were among the guests. We were blessed to have Wilson Begembe and Judith Babirye inspiring us with song.

Over 1000 souls were saved. At the central location. However, for the first time ever we truly made this a national event holding the same event at 16 other stadiums. It is estimated that over 350,000 people were part of the celebration.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer an petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Daniel 12:3

Our St. Lawrence secondary School had several students receiving Leadership Certificates this October. The Christian Club recognizes students who have outstanding grades and show leadership skills among their fellow students.

Teddy Nalwanga pictured below was recognized for her leadership ability. She is an intelligent young lady who loves to worship our Lord and Savior. She will be one of St. Lawrence’s Worship Leaders in this upcoming semester at school. She is thrilled at this honor. What an opportunity Teddy will have to share the light of our Lord with others at her school!

Another student recognized was Morris Ojok (pictured below with friends Left, Center) also recognized for his leadership skills. Like so many of our students he came from a sad educational beginning. He joined our orphanage from a camp with internally displaced people. His parents were killed by rebel forces in the north leaving him and his brother homeless and no where to turn. Ojok and his brother were brought to our orphanage after having suffered such tragedy and living on the streets. Ojok has worked hard with his studies and strives for a better life. We are so proud of his achievements and pray for his continued love of God.

All the award winning students were gathered for a celebration in their honor after the award ceremony. Here they were able to mingle, enjoy cake and dance. The students enjoyed the festivities at the Handover party. Taking a well deserved break from studying for an evening.
